Independentbands.com

you may have noticed by now that quite a few of the artists featured have CDs available through www.independentbands.com. i felt independentbands.com was worth of a blog posting.

the site has tons of indie CDs available through their "indie catalog", a lot of rare CDs and lesser known releases. they also carry signed artists as well (they call the indies "independents" and the signed artists "dependents").

independentbands.com has a really good selection of music, but their service is what keeps me coming back. i've never had problems when i buy from them, and i receive the CDs i order in just a matter of days. in fact, when i have pre-ordered CDs through them before, and i received the CD ON THE DAY it was released! that impressed me so much.

once again, check out www.independentbands.com for great deals, great selection, and great service!

Feature: The Myriad

Floodgate Records, an indie record label, sure is making a name for itself. they continue to sign groups that have quality sound and rise in popularity like wildfires.

another group signed with Floodgate Records is The Myriad. the band originates from Seattle, WA and is comprised of the following members: Scott Davis - drums; Jeremy Edwardson - vocals, guitar; John Roger Schofield - bass; Steven Tracy - guitar, keys; and Jonathan Young - guitar. they've put 3 EP's out, 1 of which is sold out ("Which of You"). the guys have a clear, quality rock sound that's really easy to listen to. for their latest album, they worked with Copeland producer, Aaron Marsh.

their website contains a lot of great information, at http://www.themyriad.net. and you can hear their awesome sound at: http://www.purevolume.com/themyriad and http://www.myspace.com/themyriad.

Feature: Forever Changed

Forever Changed (pic taken from the guys' myspace.com site)

Posted by Hello

what kind of indie blog would this blog be if i didn't cover Forever Changed? you may have seen them in concert on LU's campus this year, or maybe you've caught their show before in your own town. Forever Changed is a great band that is sweeping the Christian indie music world. the guys are from Florida and include: Dan Cole - Vocals, Guitar; Ben O’Rear - Lead Guitar, BGV; Tom Gustafson - Bass; Nathan Lee - Drums. they travel all over the place, but their main tour is with Kids in the Way and The Wedding this summer. their sound is a rock/emo sound. they've signed with Floodgate Records, which is an indie record label.

find info about the band on their following sites:
http://www.foreverchanged.net
http://www.purevolume.com/foreverchanged
http://www.myspace.com/foreverchanged

and purchase either of their CD, EP, and posters/t-shirts at: http://www.subculturemerch.com/store/foreverchanged/
